    Chris Kelly had a goal and an assist, and Matt Cullen, Milan Michalek and Mike Fisher also scored for the Ottawa Senators, who snapped a three-game losing streak with a 4-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night. The Senators scored three times in the third period, matching their total during their post-Olympics skid.

    After one period, the Minnesota Wild appeared to be on the way to another easy win over the Florida Panthers. Then they turned in one of the worst offensive performances in franchise history. Cory Stillman scored the winning shootout goal and the Panthers held the Wild to a franchise-tying low 11 shots in a 3-2 win on Tuesday night.

    Jannik Hansen scored the decisive goal with 2:08 remaining, Mikael Samuelsson had his first NHL hat trick, and the Vancouver Canucks rallied to beat the Colorado Avalanche 6-4 on Tuesday night. Hansen snapped the tie with an unusual goal that was confirmed by video replay. Aaron Rome took a shot from the point that bounced off the end boards.

    Right wing Dmitry Kugryshev has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Washington Capitals. The 20-year-old Kugryshev was a second-round pick in the 2008 draft.     Center Keith Aucoin has signed a two-year contract extension with the Washington Capitals. Aucoin is currently in the minors with the Hershey Bears, leading the AHL in scoring with 84 points -- 31 goals and 53 assists. He helped lead Hershey to the AHL championship last season.
